The Circus experience
High-energy club sound, cinematic visuals, and a crowd that turns Vienna into one dancefloor. Circus is built around spectacle: international guests, performers, and big production inside a venue with real character.
Everybody is welcome
No matter who you love, how you look, or where you’re from: you belong here. Circus is strictly 18+.
Austria’s biggest gay party
For 14+ years, Circus has been raising the bar for queer nightlife in Austria – with a fan base across Europe and a reputation for nights that people talk about long after sunrise.
Arena Wien
“Best Place in the World.”
Entertainment and Confrontation is the motto of Arena Vienna. Activists who called themselves "Arenauts" presented their first collaborative efforts to rescue Vienna's oldest slaughterhouse on June 27, 1976. More than 200,000 people visited the Arena, including Leonard Cohen who described it as the… “best place in the World.” It was later demolished on October 12, 1976.
Since, the new Arena (the domestic slaughterhouse next door) has become a place for alternative music events of all kinds from Alice Cooper to Katy Perry. Parties, festivals, and open air activities are among the many experiences offered to the Viennese arts and music scene.
The Circus team is proud to introduce a more mainstream queer audience to this legendary venue.
